QuickTime 4.1.1 or higher is strongly recommended. Also, the ôRecommendedö installation of QuickTime, not the ôBasicö installation, will allow you to preview Photoshop files. To edit QuickTime movie transitions, you will need to install the QuickTime effects.

Portfolio 6 is only compatible with Portfolio Server 6, not previous versions of Portfolio Server.
Macintosh Version
- Multi-catalog searches with AppleScript are not currently supported.
- The ôSend Mail to Recipientö feature does not work with the AOL mail client.
- At this time, the Change Path feature will not automatically find additional files in the same location if the files are located on a DVD volume. This is because Portfolio is automatically matching the items by filename and creation date and the creation date changes when putting files on a DVD.
- Important: When running Portfolio and the Express Palette at the same time, it is important to close a catalog in the Express Palette before switching to Administrator mode in Portfolio.
Windows Version
- Scripts compiled for previous versions of the Portfolio Windows client will need to be recompiled with the new Portfolio type library.
- The ôSend Mail to Recipientö feature is not compatible with the AOL or Eudora mail client.
Macintosh Version: Drag and drop into the Finder has been limited to Editor, Publisher, and Administrator levels in Portfolio. Drag and drop, while in Reader Mode or in the Portfolio Express Palette, is enabled for dragging into other applications, but not the Finder.
Windows Version: Drag and drop at Reader level, or in the Portfolio Express Palette, copies the file to the drop location. At higher access levels, drag and dropping to Explorer moves the original file, unless the <ctrl> key is used to enable a copy operation. When dropping into a running application, some applications do not properly support the copy-only mechanism, so holding down the <ctrl> key when dropping may ensure proper functionality.
EXIF
A sample EXIF/IPTC catalog is included on the CD to use as a starting point for setting up a catalog for EXIF information. This catalog already has custom fields and mappings set up for the tags that are supported in Portfolio. Though Portfolio allows you to add new EXIF tags to the mappings, such as custom manufacturer tags, they may not always display the expected value in the field when a value is supposed to be programmatically converted into a different user-friendly value. Additional EXIF support for these tag types will be supported in future releases.
